Google’s latest AI feature lets you try on shoes virtually, right from your home. With Google’s AI try-on imagines your feet in new shoes, you can see sneakers, heels, or sandals on yourself without sharing any personal foot photos.
Now, while browsing Google Shopping, simply click the “try it on” button on the shoes you’re interested in. The AI will show you how they look on your feet instantly, making online shopping easier and more fun.
You don’t need to upload actual photos of your feet. Google’s AI can transform a regular photo of you—like a full-body picture—into realistic images of your feet in various shoes. For example, it can turn your plain white sneakers into stylish black heels or trendy sandals, all automatically.
This works similarly to Google’s Doppl app, which generates AI clips of you wearing new outfits. The technology can even create a pair of feet entirely on its own when needed.
Google first tested AI try-on with clothes, including shirts, pants, dresses, and skirts, starting in May. By July, it was available for all U.S. users.
Now, shoes join the mix, and Google plans to expand the feature internationally. Australia, Canada, and Japan will soon get AI try-on for both shoes and apparel, making virtual shopping more global.
This tool saves time, reduces uncertainty, and brings a more interactive experience to online shopping. Instead of guessing how shoes will look, shoppers can virtually try them on in seconds.
By combining AI with your shopping experience, Google’s AI try-on imagines your feet in new shoes in a realistic and engaging way, setting a new standard for e-commerce.
