Fans online are hilariously discussing which football players are exclusively known by their full name.
Brighton's Billy Gilmour can only be called by his full name. Well, that's according to X user @clynch_abi's partner.
She took to social media to reveal that her fella refers to some footballers by their full name, giving Billy Gilmour as an example.
Taking to X, she wrote: "My fella said the other day there’s some footballers who for whatever reason we all exclusively call by their full name - e.g Billy Gilmour - and I can’t stop thinking about it, I want more examples."People on social media flocked to her post as they gave their own examples and there are some belters.
One said: "Nick Pope."
A second tweeted: "Aaron Lennon."
A third added: "Dan James."
A fourth commented: "Harvey Barnes."Another said: "Solly March."
So, Brighton have a couple with Billy Glimour and Solly March and you can't say Dan James' name without saying his full name.
