Central Organization of Trade Unions president Francis Atwoli has weighed in on remarks made by Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando over his leadership.
Kabando had in a tweet on Saturday said that despite Atwoli being a long-serving president of the union, workers don't feel Cotu's interventions.
"Omwami, we forget it? You are at the helm of Kenya's and Africa's trade unions.
You have been a close ally of all of Kenya's 3 immediate former presidents, and now you've pinned Ruto. If comrades are sincere to you, they'd tell you that Kenya workers don't feel Cotu interventions," he said.
Atwoli while responding said that he wins the elections because he serves Kenyan workers.
Speaking on Saturday, Atwoli insisted that he has always called for unity in the country.
He said his service is the reason he is president of the African trade unions.
"First, Cotu has always called for unity within the country and in the continent. That’s why I serve as the president of Cotu. Second, you have never been a member of any trade union. I survive elections. Unlike you, I win elections because I serve Kenyan workers in unions," Atwoli said.
