Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has lauded his striking unit for capitalizing on few chances they created, to pick a crucial 2-0 win over giants Sofapaka in Sunday's league match.
The Thika-based side defeated the 2009 champions thanks to strikes from Peter Nzuki and Samuel Ndung’u.
“We are starting to get it right in terms of using our chances, despite creating only four but at least we converted two,” said a delighted Akhulia.
At the same time, Akhulia has also congratulated his backline who have not conceded in two consecutive matches, thumping Vihiga Bullets 3-0 prior to Sofapaka demolition.
“While we are scoring our backline has also been disciplined not to allow easy goals which are good for us as a team.”
On his part Sofapaka coach David Ouma said his boys did not follow the pre-match strategy vowing to work on their deficiencies ahead of the next game.
“Today we did not play our game and also my players' mental strength is something I need to look at as a coach,” said Ouma, a former Harambee Starlets coach.
Bidco are eighth on the log with 22 points after 16 rounds of matches as Sofapaka occupy position 12 with 18 points.
Bidco travel to Mombasa to face Bandari in a Kenyan Premier League fixture this weekend.
