A compilation of Kendry Paez's performance for Ecuador has gone viral on social media and Chelsea fans have been left very excited.
The midfielder, just 16-years-old, is still part of Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle, but has agreed agreed a deal to join the Blues when he turns 18 in 2025.
The teenager was handed his international debut against Uruguay, alongside future Chelsea teammate Moises Caicedo, who also played for Independiente del Valle before being snapped up by Brighton.
And the pair looked like they had been playing together for years, exchanging a series of one-twos to beat the Uruguayan press.
Paez hugely impressed during a 2-1 win in Quito, displaying his blistering pace and creativity in the middle of the park.Not only did Paez set up Felix Torres for his country's second goal, but he also became the youngest player in history to play for the Ecuador senior side, and the second youngest South American to ever play international football behind a certain Diego Maradona.
Paez is no stranger to making history, becoming the youngest debutant and scorer in the Ecuadorian first division when he netted for Independiente del Valle at the age of just 15.
He later became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Under-20 World Cup in May, leaving Chelsea supporters understandably excited by his development.
Caicedo waxed lyrical about the teenage prospect during an interview earlier this year, predicting bright things for Paez.
Caicedo told La Cancha Con Majo: ‘He’s a crack! The truth is there are times where I watch Independiente games, it’s good to see those talents in Ecuador because we know we have very good youth.
"I’m very happy for him, for everything that he’s doing.
"All I can tell him is keep on the right track, doing things really well, and he’s going to go really far because the talent he has is incredible."
