Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to contribute to the mission and vision of Aga Khan University through the Institute for Human Development by supporting data collection towards Strengthening Research Knowledge Translation and Engagement with Policy makers and Public in Kenya and Uganda (SRKEPP) project. We are seeking to hire a total of 10 Field Enumerators: Five from Wajir and five from Garissa Counties. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage of study documents;
• Undertake data collection;
• Ensure data completeness; and
• Attend a training workshop to plan for research activities and familiarize with data collection, consenting tools, and protocols.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in in a Health or Management Science, Sociology, or any other related field;
• Familiarity with research ethics;
• Experiences in data collection;
• Proficiency in use of smart phone/tablet /computer is required;
• Bilingual-Should be fluent in community local language (Somali) and English; 
• Familiarity with ODK data collection tool is desirable;
• Ability to work within tight schedules under minimal supervision; and
• Excellent demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
