DATA ANALYST

Royal Media Services is looking to fill the position of a Data Analyst. The successful person will be responsible for Data Analysis; data will be your product and you will work closely with the Research and Data Protection Officer and all departmental heads to ensure well maintained data that is reportable for companywide consumption.

You will build a clear understanding of all of Royal Media Services data sources, data consumers and the systems and processes which make the data available downstream. You will facilitate and support the analytics function by generating data-driven insights to guide commercial and operating strategy; developing metrics, dashboards, and statistical analysis.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Data Analyst, your responsibilities will:

• Work closely with sectional heads to understand business and data requirements and provide direction.
• Ensure that data which is required for reporting is available and in a format which can be easily consumed while overseeing accuracy and integrity of the data.
• Participate in data design and infrastructure conversations as well as identify and coordinate data infrastructure improvements with analytics, data and software team.
• Enable the success of the Company by supporting them in accessing, understanding, and utilizing data.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall integrity of business metrics.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation, training materials, best practices, and overall data toolkit
• Assist in the development and programming of data collection tools.
• Work with research managers and investigators to implement statistical analysis plans. This will involve developing, testing, and executing statistical programs to generate descriptive statistics, conduct hypothesis tests, and create graphical representations.
• Generate reports and visualizations to communicate research findings to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

ACADEMIC AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or Economics.
• Experience in data analysis (ideally 2 years)
• The ability to balance priorities, clarify stakeholder requirements, pay keen attention to detail, and generally keep deliverables on schedule
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerBi or other data visualization tools, SQL, coding platforms such as R and statistical methods (Python an added plus)
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly and concisely to management & external stakeholders
• A curious mind and a passion for problem-solving, data and analytics.
